Botnia Port Service

Botnia Port Service is a subsidiary of Port of Rauma Ltd. It began operations on June 6, 2019. Today it takes care of the mooring and unmooring of vessels, the port’s gate services and other vessel services in Port of Rauma Ltd’s area of operations. The reason for establishing this company is the entry into force of the EU’s new Port Services Regulation, which took place on March 2019. This regulation will open up new activities to competition and thus allow the port company to provide and develop their services more flexibly.

The company employs fewer than 20 industry professionals. The Port of Rauma’s CEO Janne Virta serves as the subsidiary’s CEO, in addition to his current position.
